Who is Kinetic Distortion?

I am a purveyor of multiple electronica styles including Trance, Jungle, BreakBeat, DownTempo, Industrial and House.

Inspiration

If a song or sound grabs my attention and makes me examine it in every detail, it is inspiration. Most of my favorite bands are more audio chemists to me than musicians

And the Award Goes To ...

In 2001 I won second place in a remix contest sponsored by mp3.com on the Groove Armada song "I See You Baby". I have been very lucky to perform as a Live performer and DJ all over California and Las Vegas at many parties and festivals. Some of them are: Secret Squirrel '04-06, Awaken '04, Dream Again '06, Primal Trance '06, Return '07, Kandy Mill '09, and The Pulse '10. I have opened for the likes of a number of hot DJs and musicians, among them Thee-O, Kristina Sky, Speaker Junkies, 303 Infinity and more.

Brisk as the Beats

My 1st solo album "Genre Sessions: Trance" is the beginning of a series of albums involving my take on the different genres of Electronic music. "Genre Sessions: DownTempo" is the next album in the series, not to mention a release of remixes of both albums. I will also be releasing a DVD of "Genre Sessions: Trance". It will contain 10 original videos and an extra 10 "remixed" versions that will all run in a 1 hour nonstop music and video mix.

You Must Know This

One thing that must be understood about my music is my insistence on eclecticism. Genre confinement is simply not possible. I cannot stick to one genre; I love and am inspired by all genres (electronic, as well as pop, rock, classical, jazz, experimental, etc.) and I do not want to constrict myself to one type or style of music."

Hungry

There is one other thing you should understand about me... the hunger. New projects are always welcome, of whatever stripe. Be it television, movies, video games, remixing, touring, producing, recording. I am desirous of dipping into all aspects of the musical world. I pride myself in having a great live set that always changes each time I perform. I improvise a lot and if something I do gets the crowd's attention, I can cater to that on the fly. It's all about realtime feedback, baby...
